Namaste
Hello I’m Tracey Burrows
Five years ago, aged 48 I entered the first stage or menopause known as perimenopause.
I didn’t see it coming, I’d heard of it but I knew nothing about it and for about a year I had no idea that the weird symptoms I was experiencing were all related.
Then one day a friend gave me a book to read and everything fell into place.
Lucky for me this transition into the next phase of life coincided with me transitioning into a new career as a Yoga Health Coach. Over the two years I was studying, my lifestyle was transforming and at the same time, hormone changes were transforming my body.
This is what i noticed:
- My body clock became more in sync with the natural cycles of the day, my sleep quality improved and I woke up feeling energetic rather than exhausted.
- I became a gold star pooper! No more once a week visits for me. And since my inner toilet was flushing nicely there was no more bloating, my skin started to look healthier and my joints stopped aching.
- I started to eat for healthy hormones, my hot flushes stopped overnight and my immune system became super strong.
My biggest change came when I started working on reducing stress, taking control of the controllables and allowing the rest to flow through me, rather than trying to control everything.
Unlike our moms who come from a generation who don’t talk openly about ‘women’s issues’ I love how our generation is changing attitudes and removing the stigma around menopause.
I’d like to see more consistent and accurate messaging from general health practitioners and more advice on what we can DO as well as what we can take. Because the two can work together.
And I feel passionately that women should be advocating for themselves.
Read on to discover how I came to this point and how I can help you too
Thrive For Life is my on line, group program which is, based on Nobel prize winning science as well the lifestyle habits and principles of Yoga and Ayurveda.
In this 10 week program I take you on a deep transformative journey through enhancing your daily rituals and your self care practices around the five pillars of menopause and healthy ageing.
As a coach I understand that knowing what to do and actually getting on with it are two different things and I’ve helped many women reach their health goals and make them stick.
Having routines and habits that you can stick with like regular exercise or altering sleeping routines to enhance sleep quality, will help solve problems like hot flushes, night sweats, weight gain and low energy at the root cause.
Supplements and medicines cannot paper over the cracks in your habits around food, hydration, exercise, sleep and de-stressing.
These are some of the things that previous Thrive For Life members have reported:
As your personal guide for 10 weeks I will introduce you to new, simple yet impactful new practices. I’ll be giving you the theory and supportive information behind them and I’ll guide you to implement this wisdom into your daily life and make it stick.
In Thrive For Life you’ll be zooming in on your habits around the 5 pillars of healthy ageing:
- sleep
- diet
- digestion
- exerciseÂ
- stress management
With me as your guide and the group to support you, you’ll be phasing out the habits that don’t serve you any more and introducing better ones:
- Optimal Meal timing to enhance your digestion, manage weight and support your body to heal.
- Connecting with your body clock, honouring and addressing your need for getting deeper rest and waking up with more energy
- Starting the day by mentally setting yourself up for the day you want to have. Activating your bowels to empty every day allowing you to enter your day fluid, light and clear
- Taking time to exercise, move and groove and open up your body with weekly Yoga classes.
- Listening to your bodys unique needs for nourishment, boosting your immune system, eating for hormone health and leaving behind the fad diets and one size fits all plans.
- Self massage as a ritual for deep nurturing and impactful self care. The ins, outs and benefits of self love in action.
- Taking time each day to sit in silence. Creating or refining a daily meditation practice.
- Meal timing and spacing in tune with the natural cycle of nature. Attuning your tastes and listening to your gut.
- Scheduling in self care practices like tongue scraping, oil pulling, nasal flushing and using oil to boost immunity, heal damage now and prevent problems later onÂ
- Stress management. Altering your perception to alter your reality. Cultivating ease in your relationships and allowing stress, anxiety and overwhelm to fade into the background.

FAQs about Thrive For Life:
Do I have to be in menopause to join Thrive For Life?
Absolutely not. Whilst there will be plenty of information to help women in any of the stages of menopause, Thrive For Life will enhance every womans health for the rest of their lives regardless of the lifestage they’re in right now.I have worked successfully with women in their 20s to their late 60s. Not to mention, we all reach menopause eventually and I really wish I had known what I know now, before my own journey into menopause began 5 years ago.
Will I have to go on a diet?
Not on my watch! We all know that there’s enough evidence out there now to show that diets just don’t work in the long run. Thrive for life is a lifestyle change program. If you have a few kilos to lose then yes, cleaning up and enhancing your habits around nutrition, eating and diet, as well as making exercise part of your daily routine, could very well lead to weight loss and has done for lots of past members. The habits you’ll learn in Thrive For Life are habits that you’ll keep forever. No more diets.
My days are really busy, how much time will I need to commit?
Around 3 hours per week less Netflix or social media scrolling should do it. Seriously though, my job as your coach is to help you figure out how to implement changes without feeling overwhelmed. Although we work together as a group, you can go at your own pace whilst receiving all the support and accountability you need from me and the rest of the group. If you are REALLY ready for change, we’ll find time where you didn’t even know it existed!
I haven’t done an on line course before, do I need to be good with tech?
Definitely not! I’m the worlds worst believe me. All you need is an email account and a facebook account. We have our own private and confidential facebook group where we share, support and connect and our weekly group meetings take place on zoom ( Which are recorded so you can watch back later if you cant be there in person) I will walk you through how everything works in our orientation week.
How can I justify spending money on myself in this way? It feels selfish.
It breaks my heart but as women we tell ourselves this all the time. Yet I’ll bet you have stuff in your wardrobe that you haven’t worn for months or even years and you don’t think twice about treating yourself to a daily latte or lunch with the girls.
Often, we only think about investing time and money in our health when it’s already too late.
Try putting a figure on what your health is worth when it comes to the impact it has on your relationships, work and dreams for the future. Or do a gut check now, repeat after me ‘My health is just not worth it’ How does that feel?
If you are serious about putting your health at the top of your to-do list, if you’re concerned about inheriting chronic health issues as you age, if you’re in any of the stages of menopause and you feel a bit lost or out of control let’s talk and find out whether I can help you get started.
